Today in Western Civ we had a pop quiz. It was pretty easy but I got the pop tart question wrong. I thought they made sago pop tarts but I guess they don't! Before the pop quiz, we review for it a little bit. We also had a shadow and she seemed very nice and kind. She said she was interested in theatre and was in the play FAME! Mr. Schick gave us time in class so we could post this blog which I thought was very nice of his. That is basically it!

Today we watched a video called "Guns, Germs, and Steel". The main guy in the video was Jared Diamond who is a professor at UCLA, a biologist, an author, and is passionate in the study of birds. He traveled to Papua, New Guinea to learn what it was like to live there. People have lived in Papua for over 40,000 years with a similar life style. Cargo stands for there material goods. Pre-historical times (about 13,000 years ago) everyone was a hunter or gatherer. Sago- staple food that comes from trees. Barley + wheat were main crops.

Blog Day 1 January 22, 2019

Today was my first day in Mr. Schick's class. We went over the class rules and how you how to bring a notebook. We are not allowed to play video games on our computers in his class. We have to turn our blogs in by midnight that night or we don't get full credit. We say a prayer in the beginning of class every day. In this class, I would like to do presentations and more group activities. I like my seat in this class as well. This class seems like it will be fun and I am excited to see what we do. I am not excited to write these blog's but it is easy points so thats good I guess. I am looking forward to this semester with Mr. Schick.
