The earlier pre-historic age is the Paleolithic Age, which was also called the Old Stone Age. The Neolithic Age, also called the New Stone Age, was marked by advanced tool making & beginnings of agriculture. As population increased from food surplus, more young children can be fed. The Hierarchies started to appear in village life. Sumer occupied the land between Tigris and Euphrates. The population;ation increased due to irrigation.
